Statement Of Faith

At Goshen Hill Church,

  • We worship the God of Israel who is the One true God; He is a Triune God in three persons consisting of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is Him alone whom we worship as the Holy Bible prescribes.
  • We believe that the Bible, both the Old and the New Testaments in their original languages are the inerrant Word of God written through human authors.
  • We believe that the Bible provides the authoritative standard for the church’s faith and practice. We trust in the Bible as the only source of true doctrine.
  • We believe in salvation through the experience of Second Birth which can only be made possible through repentance and faith alone in Jesus Christ alone who is the only acceptable provision to forgive man’s sin. It is our belief that Jesus took our sin upon Himself and in exchange gave us His righteousness. We also believe that we must personally accept Him and remain faithful to Him per the teachings of Scripture. We believe that to reject Jesus Christ is to be subjected to eternal punishment.
  • We believe that it is impossible for man to justify himself in the eyes of a perfect God by any efforts of his own due to man’s inherent fallen nature.
  • We believe that as Jesus Christ ascended to heaven, so He will return prior to His establishing of His millennial kingdom on earth.
  • We believe that Gentiles who truly accept Jesus are incorporated into the commonwealth of Israel spiritually and do not replace Israel.
  • We believe in God’s prophetic plan to save and regather all the nations of the world back unto Himself, including the salvation and regathering of scattered Israel.
  • We believe that through the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Holy Spirit continue to be given to the church. But at the same time, we reject the hyper charismatic counterfeit expression and manipulation of the gifts of the Spirit.
  • We practice believer’s baptism through immersion.
  • We embrace unity in the Spirit with Biblically based Christian churches and ministries who share in adherence to the essential doctrines of Christianity regarding faith, salvation, and practice.
  • We reject ecumenism or unity with any form of Christianity which hold to divergent views of the Triune God, doctrines of salvation, or submit to any doctrinal authority other than or in addition to the Bible.
